Collect email address from visitors

I am interested in obtaining an HTML code to ask for and obtain email addresses from visitors to my home page.

The easiest way to do this in a 5.0 store is to go to the pages tab, select the page you want to collect the info from. Then select edit for that page, then from the elements tab select a form from the drop down menu. When you go to edit this form select registration from the drop down menu and type in your request for info in the text area. I would make sure and check the no required box, then select which group to add them to.

Just one more thought to add to that. When you are setting up a form to collect information "Do Not" click on the secure connection box.

That is used for forms like the order form where you want to use SOLs security certificate. If you check that box anywhere else the page will show as www.storesonlinepro.com/store/???? instead of your domain name and a visitor will get a "secure items" warning whenever they log into that page.

Just something to be aware of. When you complete the form you can use it as an element on any pages you like.
