Hi All.

I'm just getting started with the forum and need some help setting up my signature block so that I can display links to my URL address but doing it by displaying keywords as the links. Also, can you set up multiple links, let's say 3 or 4 of them?

Can someone provide the step-by-step process and/or code in order to do this? I'm assuming it has to do with modifying my profile settings.

Much appreciated.

Bob

Below is the coding that I used. And yes you do it in the profile section but remember you have to tick to have the signature to show in your posts.

actually.. you use

[url

=http://www.yoursite.com
]

your text

[/
url
]

all on one line with no spaces like i have. This was the only way to show you. Forum uses bbc code with the square brackets instead of html angles

Karen,
It works if you put it in an HTML BB tag.

your text (http://www.yoursite.com)

Bob,
Go to your UserCP (Control Panel) - link in top nav bar of the forum - to set and/or edit your signature. There's a link to Edit Signature about half way down the menu options on the LH side. The signature editor is the same as the main post editor so you can do the same things in both places, including the use of the various BB codes as above.

Normal HTML codes - as in Christine's link examples - may also work in your signature if the relevant permissions are enabled. Your signature permissions are shown at the bottom of the signature editor page.

Bob,
You've got an extra 'http//' in some of your signature links so they don't actually work. Guess you'll want to fix those.

I fixed it for him. Good practice for me eh?

You're too kind Christine - but good practice for you tho'.

I was just letting Bob fix 'em for himself.

Dave and Christine, you two are awesome. Thanks for the "heads-up" on the needed change and actually making the fix for me. Much appreciated.
