I keep fluctuating on which way to go with this. :?
I am creating a site with over 600 products and more to come. Right now I have the main product lines on the top level navigation bar with each going to a page where the customer has to click on the specific product line. Of course, having these pages on top level so the customer does not have to find and click is better. BUT>>>>>> my question...... how many top navigation buttons are too many? Or are their too many?
I would have a navigation button for 7 men's lines, 7 women's lines, kids, purses, head gear and more....... I could end up with 20-25 top level navigation buttons.
Would a site map adequetly take the place of this and leave the general headings: Mens, Ladies, Kids, Accessories, ...more... as I have them now? Or WOULD YOU AS A CUSTOMER PREFER TO HAVE DIRECT LINKS TO SPECIFICS?
Would appreciate some input. I keep fluctuating on this. :?: :? :? :?
