Hi,
We have just purchased Zeus Pro from Lawrences link. We have a noobie question.....
Lawrences instructions tell us to alter the Themepage_Template.txt file by changing the Themeindex="Themeindex" so that the text in speech marks is altered to somethiing else like "RelatedSites".
Does this have to be done for each an every new project created. We are in the process of creating a new project for our first website cleartodrink.com and we are a little unsure as to whether we should alter the new projects "Themepage_Template" text file again.
If we do change this new project template file can we call it something different to the 'original' one or should it be renamed in exactly the same way?

When you start a new project, it is normally for a new site/store which will have its own folders etc. You will end up with a theme index file for each store that you are doing links on. The file will be included in the Links Folder in a Sub folder called Misc It can be called a different Resources name or the same as the other store. Hope this hasn't confused you.
Summary: Each store that you set up with zeus will have its own folder with files for Links, Emails and Templates etc.

Lawrence,
I downloaded the files from your email, after I purchased Zeus Pro 3.1.2.
I downloaded the Zeus program and placed it in the Programs files directory. I was following the instructions from zeusinstructions.txt, and I saved the original themepage_template.txt file to themepage_template-org.txt as a backup. In the backup, I changed the ThemeIndex="ThemeIndex" to ThemeIndex="RelatedSites". This takes care of about half of the instructions.
When I get to the ***To use the template files to make the directory pages match yyour sol store***, I'm not sure what is meant by this statement. I did create 2 separate projects, one called C:/program files/zeus/educationaltoys4kids.net/links/misc and the other called C:/program files/zeus/cdsusaglobal.com/links/misc. In both of these new projects, I saved files headerinfo.txt and footerinfo.txt into new files: headerinfo-org.tx and footerinfo-org.txt in both projects. When I get to this point, I'm not sure what to do next. I cannot find the template .zip files. It then says to extract the headerinfo.txt, footerinfo.txt, and head.txt files to the proper folder. What would the proper folders be? But I need to find the template .zip files first. Where would they be? They weren't in the files that were downloaded with zeus Pro. I was trying to complete these instructions before I did anything in Zeus. But I'm at a standstill. Any ideas?

hardman1,
I am at almost the same place. I couldn't find any zip files either. I got a file with instructions but that is all. I have followed the instructions with some success. But my themeindex page is still zeus. If you get an answer could you share with me.

hardman1,
I found the zip files. I feel stupid. Look in your original email if you still have it. There should be a file with your store name or url. Mine was growthinc.zip. I still have a problem though.
Just wanted to set the record straight.

Your links pages are uploaded and viewable, well done. Now to the tweaking.
When you go into zeus click on TOOLS at the top and choose OPTIONS this will open the page where you have access to pages for tweaking. In one page "Directory" I think you will see buttons called Header, Themepage, and ThemeIndex. etc open these up one at a time and have a read if you need clarification just ask again.

Christine,
I did as you said and took a look, however I'm not sure what it is I'm looking for. Yesterday Karen gave me the header info to copy and paste into my header spot in the directory area of tools options. I already had the info in there but I deleted it then copied what Karen gave me into it instead. I wound up with a double page template. I don't know what I did.
If my template is working for my category pages what is keeping it from working on the themeindex or related sites page?
Doesn't the same head, header and footer info go in all of the pages?
Or is the tools, options, directory,-- header, footer, themepage and head-- specifically for the themeindex or in my case related sites page? I think it better to ask some more questions than to start adding or deleting things again.
Thanks for the compliment, I needed that. :D

On the Directory page there are 4 boxes only the top one needs info and that should be your headline i.e. growth inc promotes healthy living. "or whatever you want on the top of the pages.
Click the HTML header button and it should open in notepad with all the info that is located in your view source down to where the main body starts.
It sounds like you have entered this info twice possibly into two different sections by mistake. Don't panic we have all done these things.
