Greetings to all,

Okay, so I'm thinking about changing up the magnetic bracelet site, and I started trying out some different templates. There are two that I think I might like:

Themes: Safari, Customizable
Professional: E-Biz Customizable.

So, I played around with both for awhile, but then I noticced that on the top level pages, these templates don't display a product thumbnail, just a clickable product list. I can't use them without the thumbnails.

Suggestions? Can the template be changed to show the thumbnails as they are on my current site?

Many thanks,

Carol

Carol, all the SOL templates show thumbnails. The only reason it wouldn't is that you have customized the size of your thumbnails on your present template and it can't display the customization from one template to another.

If you first save the customization and then delete it and then bring up those templates you're interested in, the thumbnails will show up. :D

You were right. It didn't even occur to me that the prior customization was the problem.

Many, many thanks!

Carol, what template is the one you are using now? It's so nice and wide. Just what I would be looking for for my new store.

Also, I didn't see a shipping info page. Do you take Amex? I personally use only that for ordering online. Your store doesn't give this info up front, so people have to attempt to order and then see shipping charges, credit card options, etc. I actually went to order and stopped when I saw no Amex. Just a few thoughts I thought I'd let you know as a real possible customer.

Ruth,

The template I'm using on the Links site is: Modern:Neoteric.

The site is due for an overhaul, and I'm working on that now. I hope to have the photos done in the next week or so and then I can re-publish with some MAJOR changes.

I appreciate your input. I'm sure at one point I had the M/C and Visa logos on the page...dunno what happened. But, you make a great point. I do need a shipping info page, and I'll be sure to follow your suggestions as I develop the new site. Any other suggestions you (or anyone else) has would be much appreciated. I don't want to submit for a site review, as I don't want to waste anyone's time on a site that is going to be changed shortly.

Regarding Amex...the new site will be Amex-friendly. I applied for the merchant account ages ago and never got the intro package. After several e-mails back and forth, I got frustrated and gave up. Now they are eager to get me accepting the card, so I think we're on the way to getting that issue resolved. So, the short answer is: we will be accepting Amex within the next few weeks.

Again, I much appreciate your comments and will integrate your suggestions into the new site.
