Rebuilding in PRO and wondering about page urls. Since I'm indexed, I think it would be best to rename the pages to the same as they currently are named in 4.0. Right?
For example, the shipping page is defaulted to
http://www.the-fragrance-boutique.com/shipping_info
That, of course, is completely different.
Would it be okay to put it as:
http://www.the-fragrance-boutique.com/page/368897 or does it need to be completely the same as before and include the site/1549784 ??
More important to know of course when I get to the product pages, but wanting to see what would be best. Or does it even matter?

Laura,
Yeah its gonna matter, i think the new build uses /store instead of /site so even if you wanted I dont know that you could, but Im not using 5 at all, so Im not sure about the naming, but i do know you will lose some indexing rank until its caught up again.

Thanks Karen! I forgot about the store versus site so I'm glad you mentioned that. I guess I'll just go with page/#####, and use the same page numbers they have now. Less confusing and just have to knock out part of the url in my links.

Your home page url will be identical so you shouldn't lose rank there.

Now I'm wondering if it will matter after all or not. If I put one of my page urls in the browser address bar, without the site/1549784 in the url, it pulls up the page anyway. :? It would seem that if it made a difference, it wouldn't recognize it as the same page. I guess though, that since the indexed pages have it in there, and if someone clicked on that after I'm finished and published, it might give a 'not found' error.
I guess I'll find out! :?
I'm having a hard time figuring out how to put in the shipping rules. I used a range in 4.0 for a certain price per number of products purchased. I can't figure out how to do it on 5.0. There's no "range" option. :? The help instructions explain in detail how to put in formulas, but I can't figure out where I would put that in.
Maybe tomorrow after a little sleep......

Laura, as Shoshana pointed out correctly, your homepage will stay the same, I wouldn't continue going by those SOL #'s, but by the real names, as found everywhere else and which was a point we always complained about .It might be more work for you in the beginning, BUT I am convinced, that once you have the pages up, the SE's will find them even faster and you might be able to actually using a Google site map - if it is important at all.
Just my thoughts :-)
