verisign on 5.0 stores ???

I have noticed that many of the 5.0 stores have the verisign on the home page and someone posted ??sometime?? that their programmer put it there. Why do new stores have the verisign when we were told we had to take it off and put it on the checkout page?

I just went through this issue with SOL chat support and was told that I can add the security logos to my order form. I took it from the way the response was provided that I am NOT to have it anyplace else on my site without purchasing my own certificate.

That's a big help and is exactly what I was told by Sean Guy and also someone from VeriSign Secure who called me. I relayed that info to the forum.

The programmers are now putting all those security codes on 5.0 sites so apparently the information hasn't filtered down to them yet.

In fact the programmers were also the ones who first put it on my 4.0 site. I have taken it off completely and gone with Control Scan. The jury is still out on whether this is going to help me or not.
