Hi Beth,
If you have time, take a look at my Our Links pages on my site, as there are a few things wrong that I may need to take out of the HTML. Not sure what to take out so that the pages connect more smoothly. Thanks.

Eileen - You just copied a tad more than you needed to.
I put the headline (name of the links) into the page myself - then only copy from <ul> to [/list] - that way you are ONLY copying the links and nothing else. You dont want the page stuff at the bottom.
You feeling good about yourself? For the most part you've got it!

Great, Beth,
As usual I get good advice from you. Hope I can get this stuff to work on my new site, too.
Thanks and happy weekend.

Hi again Beth,
Although I did put links on my website LA link pages, I am finding out that a lot of them do not even trade links and now I need to remove some of them. Should I remove them from the text element in my store or do I remove them while I am in LA and then generate a new page each time?
Two other things. Is there an easy way to check out all of the links by looking at their websites while in LA BEFORE I include them on my links page. AND, when I find all these links on LA, should I be sending out a zillion emails to them BEFORE I put them on my links pages? What do you suggest? Thanks.

Hi Eileen,
It's not Beth - Teresa here
If you want to remove a link partner, you do it in LA. Select the partner, right click and remove link partner. Then when you generate the page, it will be gone. You then upload the newly generated page to your site in the normal manner.
You can use the browser option in LA to view the websites before you accept them. If you click on the little box beside the title URL, it will open that URL in the built in browser. Then you can decide if the site is worth accepting. If not, the same procedure as above will remove it from the list.
With regard to emailing potential partners, I would add their links to your page first and then email them. I think Beth will agree with this. If you are requesting the trade then it's better that you take the first step.
One other thing that I've recently discovered (thanks Beth  ), OUTBOUND links count too. That means that if you have asked someone to link to you and they don't reply, if you feel the site is valid to yours, you don't have to remove their link. All links don't have to be reciprocal and the SE's like you to link to sites that use the same keywords that you do.
No doubt Beth will be along to add her views, but this might help in the meantime.

Teresa gave you good advice.
To add to it - ALWAYS check the site first - make sure it's one you'd want to recommend. And add them before you email. But, also, when you check the site, using the method Teresa told you, look to see if they have a form to exchange links, and if they do - use it - and then you don't need to email that one. Those also usually add you the fastest.
And, yes, you should always add the site before you email them. I don't bother removing most if they don't link back if I've looked at them and like them. As Teresa said, all links don't need to be reciprocal.
And, make sure you check what LA finds to include for the links title and description - we all know that lots of sites don't use the correct meta!

Wow, thanks Teresa and Beth,
Just wasn't sure I was doing it right. Getting this input from both of you helps reinforce what I want to do in LA and have been doing. So now I'll get busy and quit worrying about it.
