Well, today I went into the forum on my new host - and there was a message to members on one of their servers (you know which server you're on, btw) that the server was down and they had to replace something - they apolgized that it had crashed, said they would fix it ASAP (looks like it went down around 5 am.) AND told any customers on that server to put through a trouble report as they WOULD be compensated for the down time.
I noticed that around noon they had a notice that it was back up and the back-up was all being re-installed.
Anyway, what a difference - not only did they admit they had a problem - but they told straight out that all customers on that server could get a refund for the downtime. Just think - there are probably people who never tried to get on their websites during this time - by putting this in the forum, those people will have the ability to discover and claim a credit.
What a difference from what I've been used to with SOL.
(By the way, I wasn't on that server - so no downtime for me)
