Hi,

Has anyone been declined by Optimal payments because of bad credit? And if so what did you do? What I can't figure out is we paid $999.00 for this service and we are not making a loan with them but they are declining us?

SOL guarantees you a merchant account, get hold of them and let them know that this is going on and the may help you.

This is not an issue for chat. Don't waste your time on chat. Call phone support.

Edit....oops.....easy for me to say....I am not in Canada. But, I predict that chat would drive you crazy with this while phone support might be worth the long distance call.

Hi,

Yes my partner has been talking to Stores on Line about this. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and what was the outcome.

I have very questionable credit and I got a merchant account, I just closed it as couldn't afford the monthly fees with no sales coming in.

Just wondering if you got a refund from Stores Online for the $999 you paid for your merchant account? When I was battling with them to get my account approved, they told me that the only way to get a refund was if I was declined by Optimal.

If they give you the run around, keep after them and mention that you will get legal advice...

By the way, who are you going with now? Costs and fees?

We tried to get our $999 back as well, and their "policy" was indeed what coffeegourmet mentionned: "You have to be 100% declined by ECI/Optimal to qualify for a refund".

Planet,

I notice you have six sites going right now, are they all with Stores Online? Also how many merchant accounts do you have? Boy with SOL hosting and a seperate merchant account, I do hope you are making good sales with all of them. It is all I can do to keep one going so far!

I have determined that ECI is just a bunch of criminals... as is everyone in Canada that does merchant accounts. If I had known the way this would be, and how much cheaper it is to apply yourself, I would have filled out my first application with that I was going to open an online gaming site. Than they would decline me and I would have saved a ton of money and got my own account!

coffeegourmet, no only one of them is a StoresOnline store, which is PlanetBachelorette.com. My father-in-law bought the 3 store package and wasn't using them, so I decided to try it out.

HomeDVD is a company I started 3 years ago, we're #1 in google.ca for the large majority of our keywords. We convert videotapes and film to DVD. We advertise locally as well with radio (CFRA), and Yellow Pages. Those are our 3 main marketing efforts

IgniteTechSales.com is a company I helped start (Ignite Recruiting Inc.) that is still in its initial phase. It's a job website specializing in hi-tech sales recruiting.

gradeAtechs.com is a company I co-founded about 5 years ago which specializes in on-site computer support. It has franchises throughout Canada, Australia, starting in the US and elsewhere.

Swarm Multimedia is my father-in-law's website, he co-owns HomeDVD as well. Swarm was his first company, it's a videography outfit.

Convert-VHS-to-DVD.com is just a directory of websites that convert vhs to dvd organized by location. I started it for the heck of it... Don't really care what ends up happening with that one, though I do maintain it when needed

theoryoftrance.com is my music website, where I have a number of electronic tracks I've composed over the years available for download in MP3 format. I've been writing electronic music for almost 15 years now I think.

P.S. I'm in the process of launching another SOL site entitled ArchivalGold.ca . It's up but the content is still placeholder-like.
